Hoba Hoba Spirit and Ribab Fusion getting in Rabat
On July 16 from 22 pm Renaissance Rabat Room features a special concert with the headlights formations of the merger made in Morocco: Hoba Hoba Spirit and Ribab Fusion. Organized by the Embassy of the United States in partnership with the Foundation Hiba, this concert is for the two groups as part of their preparation for an American tour, the next fall. Indeed, Hoba Hoba Spirit bands, Ribab Fusion and Dance Troupe Orange Blossom (Hind Benali) were selected from hundreds of groups competing for a tour of the United States of America in the program of the American State Department, called Center Stage for the integration and promotion of foreign artists in American communities. This year, the Center Stage will host artistic ensembles of three countries (Morocco, Pakistan and Vietnam) to visit the United States from June to December 2014. Once in the United States, groups representing the Moroccan scene pass all with a performance on stage at the Millennium John Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington DC before flying out to conquer the American public in different states the country. Each tour is independent and will last about one month (28 days) between September and December 2014 although several groups of other continents are likely in the United States at the same time. Hoba Hoba Spirit will occur from August 29 to September 27 next, Ribab Fusion from 12 September to 13 October and Orange from September 28 to October 26 Fleur.
